THE MOST CURIOUSLY Is Now

Today (Dec. 20, 2025) marks the official release of THE MOST CURIOUSLY. The ebook was all set on Dec. 12. The paperback just needed its own cover, which it now has. I thought I should do a blog post about the book, and share something momentous about it. However, I had nothing to say. So I thought, well, perhaps some art will do. So I did this dragon head. THE MOST CURIOUSLY does in fact have a castle in it. Castle ruins, that is. And the special thing about them, for me, is that I've actually walked them. I don't know if they're still open for that, but back in the day it was permitted. The hostal where I stayed stood opposite an olive orchard. I believe it was the first olive orchard I had ever seen. I arrived at the ruins shortly before sundown. The place was magical that night, the sky large and deep, the castle quietly alive. I stayed for a while before I made my way back. I believe that was 1995, but the big things stick with you. If I'd been more adept at Spanish, and gotten lucky, maybe I'd be there now. As it is, thank God for the imagination! There is no place on Earth you can't go, there is no person on Earth you can't be with, in your mind. The one you want for your best friend, lover, and significant other, you can have whenever you wish. And meanwhile life may surprise you and give you such a one for the journey. Some of you have been so fortunate. Others of us know the quixotic search for love can also be as sweet.
